Wrong

I am a smart person, be not fooled. But being smart does not entail you being right all the time. Scientists are wrong a high percent of the time. Some of our smartest government officials, make mistakes. Some of my very smart friends can't even spell. But the thing that make these people smart is that they know when they are wrong and are open minded enough to see someone else's viewpoint. Personally, i LIKE being wrong from time to time because it means either something is going to turn out better than i think, or i get to learn something.
Earlier i posted a blog on being weird because a friend of mine called themselves that and i didn't see it. It's not that i was attacking her, but I've seen others call themselves weird, but the things i saw in them i did not consider strange at all. So I wrote, saying basically people are not as weird as they seem because everyone is different in some way (or that's what i meant to say, maybe it came out different). But a response to this post opened my eyes a bit. And though I didn't totally agree with the whole response, it made me really think about it.
I realized i was somewhat wrong. First of all if you say you are weird, who am I to say you aren't (even if there are elements i understand). Also, though there are those, that simply want to stand out, people don't really do it by calling themselves weird. There are many other ways that people stand out in the confines of the general society. To take your uncommon traits and genuinely embrace them (not because they make you stand out, because they are part of your personality) is weird, or even special. Also being weird does not mean you can't fit in, or you are incomprehensible, it just means yo don't commonly identify with society.
Personally, i am weird with two things. First of all I'm a lefty, only 10% of the world is left handed. Most things i do look strange to you. Second, i LIKE being wrong. Most people have to prove they are right until they are blue in the face, or even have to fight for it. I'll save my fighting for things much more necessary, if i'm truly wrong, i'll know it and learn from it.
